1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CargoBuddy ("we", "us", "our", or the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including senders, drivers, and visitors.

2. Platform Description

CargoBuddy is a connection platform that facilitates communication between people who need items delivered ("Senders") and drivers who are already traveling to similar destinations ("Drivers").

Important: CargoBuddy is currently in development. Features, policies, and services may change without notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information
You are responsible for maintaining account security
You must notify us of any unauthorized use
One account per person or entity

3.2 Driver Accounts

Drivers must apply for and receive approval before accessing driver features. Approval may be revoked at any time for violations of these terms.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 All Users Must:

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Provide accurate information about deliveries
Treat other users with respect
Not use the Platform for illegal activities
Not send prohibited items

4.2 Drivers Additionally Must:

Have valid driver's license and insurance
Deliver items as agreed
Maintain vehicle in safe condition
Verify package contents before accepting

4.3 Senders Additionally Must:

Accurately describe items for delivery
Package items appropriately
Not send prohibited or dangerous items
Provide accurate pickup/delivery information

5. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

Illegal substances or contraband
Weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials
Live animals
Perishable items requiring special handling
Cash or negotiable instruments
Items prohibited by law in origin or destination
Stolen goods or items of illegal origin

6. Liability and Disclaimers

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS:

CargoBuddy is a connection platform only
We do not employ drivers or control delivery services
We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items
We do not guarantee delivery times or driver behavior
Users interact at their own risk
We provide no insurance coverage for deliveries

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CargoBuddy harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these terms, or violation of any laws or rights of third parties.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes when possible.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
